iStrategy is the leading provider of data warehousing and analytic applications for higher education. This vertically-focused company is experiencing incredible growth and has surpassed the 100 higher-education customer milestone with 44 implementations in the past 12 months.
iStrategy is seeking energetic and professional individuals (located in the Boston area) for a full-time position as a highly-skilled Inside Sales/BDR to proactively generate leads that become sales to universities and colleges in North America.
The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills, persistence and the ability to build and nurture relationships with prospective customers. This position will be both challenging and rewarding for the right person looking to achieve excellent compensation (salary base + commission with no cap) and have real opportunity for professional growth with a company that is an industry leader.
Responsibilities:
Heavy outbound phone work and email activities; average 40+ calls/emails per day
Secure 10 appointments per week for product demonstrations or interest generation discussions with senior functional officials at higher education institutions
Perform timely and accurate sales activity; i.e., reporting and forecasting using Salesforce.com
Accurately maintain and update contact database and meet assigned quota and performance goals
Secure and promote attendance to iStrategy lead development events (webinars, conferences, etc.)
May involve work after normal business hours (9-5) with some travel to industry conferences
Perform web-based product demonstrations
All other duties as assigned
Requirements for the BDR:
2 years sales background with outbound telephone sales/lead development, preferably in software or technology solutions
Proven ability to effectively make "cold calls" for generating new business
Excellent professional telephone presence, PC knowledge, and closing skills
Must be a consistent over-quota achiever with proven track record
Must be aggressive and have a high energy/passion for customer service, technology, and sales
Solid work history and excellent professional references are required
User experience with CRM process and web conference software is a plus
