Application Components

iStrategy's HigherEd Analytics ™ removes the complexity from the process by providing all of the components necessary to deliver self service analytic reporting. In as little as one day you can have a robust student data warehouse, 100+ out-of-the-box interactive web based reports and the Dashboard application to empower information consumers across the institution. We just install our application, point to a PeopleSoft database and run a DW load cycle.

• Analytic Reporting - a web based analytical reporting application including a personalized dashboard for key performance indicators and charts, guided analysis and a library of interactive reports;
  
• Data Warehouse - a two tiered data warehouse consisting of a relational database based on a dimensional data model as well as a multidimensional OLAP tier for high performance analysis (click here for more information on our student data model); and
• ETL Modules - pre-developed extraction, transformation and load modules to extract data from the leading student administration application databases. The ETL module simply connects to the vendor database - all of the complex mapping and transformation is pre-built. The process maps relevant vendor application data to staging tables in the HigherEd Analytics data warehouse. Once the vendor data is loaded, the ETL derives additional information and generates a dimensional data model using iStrategy's transformation methodology.

Student ERP Vendor Integration
We currently integrate with Oracle PeopleSoft and Datatel Colleague applications. We plan to expand our ETL integration for additional vendors based on market demand.
